Red Hot Romance…

Not a Good Way to Start the Day…

Lipstick of the Day:  Chapstick - the plain kind

Drink of the Day:      Orange Juice - but I wish it was a Mimosa

Good morning.  I like shopping at warehouse clubs and restaurant supply stores - places where I can stock up on boring necessities like laundry detergent, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags; stuff I have to buy and hate running out of.  A couple times a year I’ll stop by those stores and load up.  I did that yesterday.  Now, while I hate spending money on those kind of purchases, I really hate putting it all away.  Last night I got busy, put away a few things, but left the rest stacked in the kitchen to put away today.

Jackson is a two year old hound dog mix I adopted last year.  One day he showed up and decided to stay.  He’s a good dog most of the time.  He’s house trained, barks at strangers, rides good in the car, likes to cuddle, and gets along great with my other dogs.  His favorite game is ’Lets Try to Kill the Cats’ but, thankfully, the cats are smart, run fast, and he has yet to catch one.  His bad habits include digging in the yard (trenches, not holes), he can bark for hours until he gets what he wants (that’s how he whines), and shredding paper.

I thought, because the paper products I bought were in cardboard cases, they would be safe in the kitchen until I had a chance to put them away.  I was wrong.  This morning I woke to a floor covered several inches deep of shredded paper towels and toilet paper.  Jackson was sitting happily in the middle of the mess, his tail wagging, smiling, with scraps of paper hanging off his teeth.

Hope your day is better than mine…

    Hi Paige,
OMG! I was laughing my head off at the image of your dog sitting in all that paper. We’ve got a cat that likes to turn all paper into confetti so I know how you feel.
I lot the site! You’ve done a really great job.
